Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 10, 2026
Introduction
MotoRoute ("we," "our," or "us") operates the MotoRoute mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the App. By downloading or using MotoRoute, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Location and GPS Data
MotoRoute is a motorcycle navigation app and requires access to your device's location services to function. When you grant location permission, we collect real-time GPS coordinates to provide turn-by-turn navigation, route tracking, and trip recording. Location data is collected only while you are actively using the App or recording a ride, depending on your device settings.
Account Information
If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide. If you sign in through a third-party service (such as Apple Sign-In or Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.
Route and Ride Data
When you plan routes, save waypoints, or record rides, we store that data to let you access it across sessions. This may include GPS coordinates, timestamps, distance, elevation, speed, and any notes or titles you add to your rides.
Device and Usage Information
We automatically collect certain technical information, including device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns (such as which features you use most). This data is collected in aggregate and is used to improve App performance and stability.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide real-time motorcycle navigation and route planning
- Record and store your ride history and saved routes
- Display maps, points of interest, and road conditions
- Enable route sharing with other MotoRoute users
- Send you important service updates and support communications
- Analyze usage trends to improve features and fix bugs
- Ensure the security and integrity of our services
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We work with third-party services for mapping, hosting, analytics, and crash reporting. These providers only access data necessary to perform their functions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Community Features: If you choose to share a route or ride publicly, other MotoRoute users will be able to view that content. You control what you share.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MotoRoute, our users, or the public.
Map and Navigation Data
MotoRoute uses third-party mapping services to provide maps and navigation. When you use navigation features, your location data may be sent to these mapping providers to generate routes and display map tiles. These providers have their own privacy policies governing their use of data.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers and protected using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
- Location Access: You can disable location permissions at any time through your device settings. Note that this will limit the App's core navigation functionality.
- Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
- Data Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Corrections: You may update or correct your account information at any time within the App.
Children's Privacy
MotoRoute is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will promptly delete it.
International Users
If you use MotoRoute from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
